Always a one-product company, InterBase has passed through many hands over the years. Founded in 1985, InterBase operated independently until 1994, when it was acquired by Ashton Tate, which was later acquired by Borland. In turn, Borland spun off InterBase as a separate company, only to reel it back again two years later. Now Borland, which changed its name to Inprise, is being acquired by Corel and is spinning the company off again." --- Wow.
